The Oregon Boating Foundations monthly paddle will be at Olalla Lake on June 20, 2015. The plan is to get under way at 10am and be off the water by 3pm. Plan on getting there about 30 minutes early to give yourself time to unload and get ready.
We were at Olalla Lake last weekend for our Kayak Basic Strokes and Rescues class, and the participants found the waters to be pretty comfortable, so you probably don't need wet-suits (although it doesn't hurt to be warm). Mostly, this paddle is about having a comfortable and relaxing day on the water.
Anyone that wants to use the time to informally work on paddling and maneuvering skills is welcome, and we can also work on rescues and rolls. If you are planning on spending more time actually in the water, you might want to bring a lightweight wetsuit to keep warm. The weather is expected to be nice, but there may be some wind.
Hope to see you there!
