    Favorite Experience in Newport!

We've been visiting Newport for years, but the kayak tour definitely topped the list as THE FAVORITE experience we've ever had. Chessie and Brian guided us with a relaxed and easy manner. We'd never kayaked before, but we are going to take up a new hobby. If you get a chance to do this, do it!! You won't regret it!

    Awesome!

Our kayaking adventure was awesome! The loading 'docks' for the kayaks made getting in and out so easy. The instructions were great on how to kayak and they had all the equipment you needed to stay dry if you wanted. Great views and information passed along as we went. Loved it!

    Amazing Opportunity!

We live in a small town, and I had no idea my children would be able to have experiences that people in larger cities dream of having. They have had knowledgeable and kind instructors. I have never worried about my children when they were in the care of OBF instructors. Thanks for this incredible opportunity!

    Incredible Program!

My son has not only learned skills to last him a lifetime but he has had fun doing it. He has made lasting friendships, developed confidence on the water and most importantly knows how to be safe. There is no better place to learn to sail or kayak and no better people to do it with!

    Top Notch!

The equipment and introduction with check-in were top notch. Thank you for the experience and education on the various fishing boats and styles of the Newport harbor and the Yaquina Bay.

    I Felt Like a Star!

I've only kayaked once before, but this experience has me hooked! We saw baby jelly fish, all sorts of diving birds, and Yaaaaassss Sea Lions!! They were out sun bathing, barking, and being generally adorable!! I couldn't believe how close we got! I felt like a star!

    Knowledgeable & Friendly!

We had a wonderful time with Anya exploring Newport by water! Earlier is better because the wind often picks up in the afternoons! We live in Newport so having an activity in town was really awesome!

    Nice Job!

Friendly staff, went out with just one other couple who had never kayaked. Guide was very helpful to them. Gave a good narrative of some of the local buildings and boats. They supplied waterproof pants and tops if needed.

    Excellent!

I completed two sea kayak classes in 2017, and plan to attend another in 2018. I highly recommend the Oregon Boating Foundation, and my instructor Tom Murphy. You will be knowledgeable, confident, and competent when you're done.

Just prepare… these instructors will transfer their life-long love of water sport into your kids' mind! They are also seriously helpful for age appropriate skill development.
